“I started working with Katie when my baby turned 6 months. He had been having multiple night wakes and having to be fed back to sleep for a number of weeks which I originally put down to the “4 month regression” but after so many weeks of poor sleep I decided we had to do something! Katie assessed our current routine (we had no routine!) and discussed what options we had for improving sleep. Katie’s approach was non-judgmental and she was keen to ensure we felt comfortable with the techniques. We opted for the controlled crying approach, and started with a daytime nap. It took 40mins for my son to fall asleep but he did! That night we used the techniques again - it took 25mins to fall asleep and there were a couple of night wakes but we stayed consistent and he got himself back to sleep, sleeping through until 7.15am!
Over the next couple of days we stayed consistent with the techniques Katie had taught us and it was clear our son had learnt to self-settle, becoming quicker to fall asleep each time, and getting himself back to sleep when he woke.
Almost immediately we had a happier little boy, as he was getting more, better quality sleep. He started feeding better and overall seemed much more content. It became so much easier to plan things because we had a predictable routine; we gained a new sense of freedom! We also got our evenings back which I hadn’t realised was possible. Suddenly we were able to watch a TV series together or enjoy dinner without tag-teaming!
Even when our son’s sleep became disturbed due to holidays, illness etc, we were able to get back to basics and use the techniques Katie taught us to quickly get back on track.

“I couldn’t recommend Katie enough! She is so professional, kind and understanding. You are in good hands as she is a mum of two so totally gets it! Our 2 year old had gone through a lot of change within 4 months; we had transitioned him into a toddler bed, took away his dummy and he was using me holding his hand as his soother to sleep. He would also always wake at 5am no matter what we did. Over the last month, this became a real issue as he started then waking multiple times during the night crying for “hand mummy” so I knew I had to reach out for some expert help! Katie instantly responded and we had a call that day, within 48hrs she came up with a plan and after 2 nights, my toddler was self settling at bedtime and learnt how to self settle during the night also, so no more wakes - just amazing! Katie assesses each child individually as every child is different and she will make a plan to suit the child and what will work best.
